For being in the middle of nowhere Idaho, the Walker Center provides an exceptional recovery program. Modern beautiful facility, and excellent staff.
I attended their family program when I was 11. It really helped me to understand my mother's addiction and the different roles of each family member. It was a huge relief to get everything off of my chest. I was, for the first time since I was 4, able to communicate with my sober mother who was empathic and took accountability for her actions. I left the Walker Center feeling like a different person, as did my mother and my siblings. I would recommend them to anyone. I actually loved their program so much that have seeked out employment to become a part of their mission. :)
I would recommend the Walker Center to anyone who needs help, both family and addict. My mother who was an alcoholic of well over 10 years attended this rehab and it has really made an impact in a positive way. As a family, we were able to receive materials that helped us become a family once again and helped my mother receive the much needed treatment that saved her life. We all use the information we got out of the program, and often refer back to it. They are very helpful and caring about the family and the patient.
Wonderful services. I am sober to this day. The tools, training and treatment I received when leaving this program are very beneficial and is the reason I am sober now. Thank you for all of your help in making me the person I am today.
This place saved my life. I had been to other rehabs and it never helped, but the Walker Center changed all of that and helped me. An amazing place and the councilors are there for you no matter what. I'm almost 2 years sober and I can still call them for help and advice!
